When she was very little, my daughter and I would walk on a shingle beach so she could find ‘interesting stones’.
I still have some of them. And the memories.

When I visited a shingle beach with my Granny we would find a stone with a hole in it and she would thread it on to a ribbon.
I still have a thin pink ribbon with small stones attached.
