I think “Really Fucked Up” is a bit strong. They kept her on, and the apology was basically “she pretended to stoop to ya’ll racist motherfuckers’ level to make a point and fun of you, and the strategy backfired.” The “don’t give it attention” argument feels weaker than ever right now. The “find old tweets and root out your enemies” battle is getting red hot out there, I don’t think things will reliably die down as they once did.
