I’ll go with that for $800…
Speaking as a Missourian and a voter, I don’t find it that surprising that McCloskey got such a low percentage of the vote. Despite his high-profile stunt a couple years ago, he was never really in the running.
What did surprise me was how badly Eric Greitens got trounced by Schmitt. Greitens was a turd, despised by many in his own party, but I was not expecting such a landslide.
He settled to prevent further financial disclosure to the government. Sad.
How trafficking in conspiracy theories went from the fringes of U.S. politics into the White House. FRONTLINE examines the alliance of President Donald Trump, his longtime advisor Roger Stone and conspiracy entrepreneur Alex Jones, and their role in the battle over truth and lies.
A three legged stool from Hell.
“This is not your father’s Democrat Party, these are a bunch of transgender wacko socialists.”
If only, that would be a Democratic Party I’d happily vote for.
I resent that. I am not a wacko!
Stop threatening me with a good time!
Punitive damages not yet determined.
Not enough.
Punitive damages have to be $100 million to be fair and to discourage other very rich people from similar repugnant actions.
And he should be charged and convicted of multiple counts of perjury.
Unfortunately the Supreme Court (about 20 years ago I think) imposed a bright line rule that punitive damages are presumptively limited to ten times compensatory damages, which would mean the max punitive damages award here would likely only be 41 million. In this case, a pittance. The jury needed to award much more compensatory, but the juror questions I read suggested to me they had a fairly limited perspective on the case. Or maybe they have been bombarded for years with anti-plaintiff messaging.
I hope this figure is for just one plaintiff and not all collectively.
It’s for two parents. Many more to follow.
As long as they max it out- I’ll respect the decision.
I mean, he’s not wrong, but weird to hear it from Fox News
Even if each parent gets 2M a piece, that’s still not enough, IMO…
