Your mask doesn’t protect you. It’s the other guy’s mask that protects you.
Those who say that they don’t wear a mask because they aren’t “scared” are quite entirely missing the point, and the original meme only serves to reinforce their misinformed perception of who is being placed at risk.
People need to understand that they need to wear a mask to protect others. It defuses the bogus but all too widespread “it’s about my freedom” and “I’m not scared” arguments.
If you’re not wearing a mask, you’re not the Red Shirt. You’re the villain. Make that the meme. Even make it funny, if you can.
