I cannot be bothered to look up hard numbers, but you’re right about the Texas joke re: DQ’s. It could be a franchise issue or some other problem, but I was just dealing with the notion that they “died out”.
It is true that you pass through many a small town in Texas you’re likely to find a DQ. Or a Whataburger. But that’s a different thread.
