Oh yes, I was subjected to periodic sniff tests and forced to take a break when one of the cats hid the allen wrench.

Oh look, an excuse to post more cute cat pictures …

Here’s me with Bella micromanaging:

Oh yeah, I had that too:

Pyrite couldn’t wait until everything was assembled, but he seemed comfortable enough. The top of that dresser hasn’t been that clean in years, but none of our current cats want to get up there. Someday we’ll have another one that does and I’ll have to start keeping it available again!

At least you know who’s boss :smirk_cat:

Glad it passed muster.

Couch gags are now consistently better than the show that follows.

Haven’t they been for a while?

For that pair, Bella, the tuxedo cat, no doubt. In one of the above posts I said she was my project manager - truth is, she actually did get included in some way in every project I did for several years, both professionally and academically. It might have only been a reference in some code comment, but I used pictures of her anywhere I could get away with it. (I’m sure there are still some client projects in use out there where she’s an Easter egg.)

To be fair even Billy has nails only to hold the cardboard-like back to the shelves.

Thank you for pointing to that documentary!

Jean-Jacques’ most recent recording (that I’m aware of) is a collaboration with Dana Countryman called Happy Electropop Music Machine. It is a return to form using the samples of funny noises Jean-Jacques has collected over the decades (probably using a sampler rather than recording tape and scissors ). One of the best pieces on the new album is a hilarious take on LeRoy Anderson’s Typewriter Song.
