Well, it wasn’t new when the Simpson’s touched on the issue - I remember a “controversy” decades ago when a restaurant here in California got complaints because their sign involved a painting of the sculpture of David. “Parents” were upset about it.
Desantis has spent decades trying to essentially become Mayor Quimby.
