The Smart Beat monitor knows and studies your baby’s breathing as they sleep

The Smart Beat monitor sounds like something used by beatboxers performing on the sidewalk.

I don’t have a baby.

You’d think, after all the horror stories here on BB about unsecured “smart” baby monitors, that there’d be some mention of security etc…

Nope. Let’s see if I can add ad copy for this “Our monitor knows when your baby is awake, and it knows when they’re sleeping. It even knows if they’re dead. Do we sell this info to third parties for marketing purposes? Your guess is as good as anyone’s. Also, is it easily hacked? Will strangers be harassing your baby? Who knows?”.

You mean a thing like the iLoud? https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/iloud/ Or the Roland KC-110? https://www.roland.com/it/products/kc-110/

There are cheaped no-brand products like this: https://www.gbconline.it/it/prodotti/schedaprodotto?codice=61.4700.05-Valigetta-amplificata-c-bluetooth-usb-microfono-wireless-isnatch

I’m researching a small portable PA system, there are options.

“proprietary algorithm” means about as secure as a strainer. Especially combined with “smart” anything.
