A confluence of things put this song in my skull.
First was reading this crazy long retrospective of Joan Baez’s work
Then recent news
Baez with her way of singing style and reputation as a civil rights activist makes it sound as a joyous celebration “Dixie” has been driven to ground.
IDLES’ song Dancer… ooof
Ever since someone raised the subject of road trip playlists, this keeps popping into my head:
I guess it’s time to review my travel tunes and make plans to go somewhere next year.
It’s midnight and I can’t sleep on account of this song on repeat in my head. It’s rather energizing.
This new kid at work. Same playlist every day. I heard it TWICE Friday, and so of course constantly since then inside my tortured brain.
WARNING DO NOT CLICK OR EVEN READ THE SONG TITLE I’M SERIOUS:
I’m so proud of myself. I was able to resist!
You had me not clicking with the hate the Eagles gif.
I really do not like the Eagles at all.
A truly unhinged analysis of that song and American Horror Story’s first season

The Muppet Show is a great introduction to a lot of pop culture. Everyone who has acted with muppets is automatically cool*
*The sole exception is the Bill Cosby/Chris Langham Rule, getting convicted of a heinous crime.
Got most of this album stuck in my head but this is the main song I get.
Honestly, I sometimes don’t mind using it to get other lesser songs unstuck…
Just finished watching Season 3 of Reservation Dogs during my evening commute. The last episode wrecked me. It was that good and I am a big softy.
Live Forever was played in the background as the cast go to breakfast after spending all night burying the rez Medicine Man. I had the Highwaymen version on my iPad. So of course i played it. Now its stuck there.
