I might go so far as to say SNA is fundamentally a delta blues song, just recorded with a heavy dose of fuzz (which the old delta blues players would have totally used themselves had it existed for them).

Exactly. The idea that the Delta Blues was always solo, acoustic and slow is nonsense. Real delta juke joints were loud as hell with driving drums and bass. And the earliest accounts of delta musicians going electric was the late 30s. This song sounds fine, but it is in no way more of a “Delta Blues” than the White Stripes original version is
