Wake me up when they can fly reliably, silently (at least relative to the mosquitos-with-megaphones they are now), and for more than five minutes.

The development I’m interested in, is drones that can pilot themselves to way-points given them by the owner. Bonus points for obstacle detection along the way. The DIY crowd is on it, but it’s not cheap.
