Everywhere, every day, babies get owned by this simple trick.

i’m not …typing that i didn’t get “owned”, but i vividly recall not understanding what was being asserted, as in “What has this to do with noses?” “That’s your nose there!” “Your thumb? that’s not a nose!” Perhaps it helps if one has a nose which looks like a thumb? (“Mine looks more like malformed arrowhead m’self”)
