Cool spaceships, cheesy dialogue, but mostly, this show was like a gateway drug for young kids who had yet to encounter Playboy.

Thanks a bunch! I can’t think of any female character from Saturday Morning cartoons drawn so obviously yowza! from that era (It is really more of a late 70’s type than the overly commercialized types of the early 80’s)
As cheesy as the Filmation cartoon was, it is still my favorite version of the material which doesn’t feature Max von Sydow and Ornella Muti. Essentially they did in cartoon form what wasn’t possible on serial budgets with Buster Crabbe (first season anyway).
