That’s also because sci-fi is expensive to make, and writing scenes that can be filmed in the corridors of your offices is cheaper than effects or the old quarry.

Hmmm, the drawing I posted was by HM Pettit in 1909. R Picasso’s was done in 1929. The similarity … the angle of view … the same flow of the crossed tube … did Picasso get his inspiration from this one?
