I read the headline quickly and heard in my head “Screaming Room” 
Which depending on how high one turns up the volume prolly would be an apt description.
You could do a lot worse for the money, it would be a good upgrade from TV speakers. The subwoofer is 6" and powered by the receiver, and the speakers are tiny, so it’s not going to really shake the house or impress an audiophile. I’d say it will be good enough to annoy apartment neighbors.
When played on this system, you probably wouldn’t be able to discern standard DVD surround from the Blu-Ray formats bragged about in this copy.
