The knife handles, not the block. I know, I was confused, too.

And think about how much better that collection would be, with an appropriate handle for each knife rather than a set all matched for looks.
There’s a similarly priced cuisinart knife set at Costco. We’ve been using it for about a year. It’s fine, but not exceptional – but at around $10 per knife you can’t expect professional-quality knives.

I can confirm: while in the block any given knife is indistinguishable from at least one other, so it takes at least one and a half tries to get the right knife, on average.
