Surely I am not the only one who was expecting Druids?

Maybe it’s the old-time lens, but that photo doesn’t look to scale.

I can’t seem to see the selfie stick.

As a lad, back when one could do so, I grabbed a handful of grass from the center of the structure, which I have in my possession to this day.

No one knows who they were, or what they were doing.

How do we know they weren’t?

Hawkwind’s first Stonehenge gig, Lemmy on right.

Stonehenge was fun to visit, but I have much fonder memories of visiting Avebury. It’s free, you can walk around and touch the stones, and the surrounding area has been kept tourist-trap free, so it’s very quiet and quaint and adorable.

if you’re willing to pay extra and either come early enough or late enough you can walk around and touch the stones at stonehenge. that’s how we did it.
