It’s honestly a little hard to get a sense of the scale from these images. It’s just too damn big!

My feeling exactly. I can’t even tell where the chasm is.

At least we know there really is a face on Mars.

Largest canyon… that we know of. We haven’t been able to penetrate the atmosphere of Jupiter, for example, very well so we really don’t know if there are canyons there are not

Depends what metric you’re using for “largest”. Valles Marineris might be 7km deep, but Verona Rupes on Miranda (a moon of Uranus) is 20km deep.
