This man earns $95 an hour as a professional cuddler

Talk about getting “down to earth”! Oddly, I recently read that Wikipedia pages show more female breast-shaped hills than you’d think. Weird? Maybe. I read a lot, so often forget the source, but I’d guess the Washington Post, Nature, or maybe Wired.

5-10 seconds, anything less is too perfunctory.

I had a half hour cuddle with an (almost) brand new great nephew last weekend, once he relaxed it was most rewarding for both of us.

Better than a human being – dogs.

Two weeks ago today I attended my first kinky camping event in three years. (It was on hiatus for that time, for obvious reasons.) Most of the members have known each other for years, some for decades. In many ways, we’re extended family, although not related which is probably a good thing considering some of the activities!

Now most of us have our own polycules or informal group of friends and partners, but it was very clear that we were still largely touch-starved. There were definitely people “playing,” but so many of us spent most of the week just reconnecting with people we haven’t seen in a long time, cuddling in groups, and offering each other that touch we needed. (Our bonfire on Saturday night was particularly emotional for a lot of people, with much crying and clusters of group hugs that kept flowing together.)

I get a lot of cuddling with my two anchor partners, sometimes all three of us at once. (We’re a triad.) Yet there’s still a boost from other touches, that tactile feedback of making sure someone you care about (and that cares about you) is if not ok exactly, at least you have mutually assured survival.

Dogs are the best huggers / non-stop feckin’ lickin’ machines. But they don’t know when to stop.
