The names all fit. Reminds me of the end of Gravity Falls where the teen girl looks at the apocalyptic wreckage of the town after Bill and says something like ‘wow those death metal album covers really got it right.’

One of the listed bands was actually a popular hardcore punk band back in the early 2000s. I don’t think they ever used the x’s in their name, but they were straightedge.
Six Feet Apart, not real. Six Feet Under, very real, not remotely posi-hardcore punk.
