I could be wrong but I think that’s a river otter rather than a sea otter? They eat crayfish but I don’t think they need rocks to smash them open as their seafaring cousins are known to do with clams and such.

Otters have also been known to sent people to the hospital! And try to rip your face off.
They are fierce defenders of their offspring. The hypothesis is that the women floated so quietly that they got between otter parents and kits, which triggered the attack.
so if you see a cute meeping baby otter in the wild, GTFO!

In my opinion, sea otters with their fuzzy faces are the most adorable. Especially when they float on their back, which they do for both eating and sleeping.
