Holding hostage to repeal gay panic defense if he doesn’t vote their way. His seat got moved right into the middle of GOP leadership after he switched to I. Bet they’re watching that voting station like hawks.
Re switching party for the gay panic defense vote: The Senate Judiciary Committee voted to kill the bill just a week prior directly on party lines, same way it did every year. Then, not long after, EVERY GOP senator suddenly voted for it, even those who had never voted for a pro-LGBTQ bill before or since. Something unusual intervened.

There’s a reconsideration vote on the bathroom-sports-prisons bill, probably on the 25th. Good chance to remind everyone to actually show up and for those who voted against last time of just what’s at stake.
