Where are the thoughts and prayers? Does no one care anymore? (/s)

Interesting and terrifying at the same time. I had no idea “ghost guns” were a thing!

Incoming inappropriate Pokemon joke…

Unfortunately, ghost guns are super effective against the psychic power of thoughts and prayers.

Add embedded micro-identifiers to the list of measures needed to be taken in gun control legislation.

Damn it all, these are kids! At 13 my daughter was still playing with dolls and dreaming of being a dinosaur hunter. How did we get to a place where they are assembling kill lists? :sob: I seriously hate this timeline.

The most important thing we can do now is to derail by starting discussions about how assault weapons can’t really be defined so we can throw up our hands and say nothing can be done.

Hey, if you can’t precisely explain the differences between a trigger sear and a magazine follower spring, what business do you have pointing out that guns fire little pieces of metal (“bullets”) that can kill and maim? /s

I don’t know if it’s an art gun - but I know what I don’t like?

Did anyone ask the recipients which form of delivery they prefer? Until there are shooting feedback forms I don’t think this will be taken seriously enough.

Not really “mass shooting,” but when gun nuts talk about responsible gun owners, these are the folks they are talking about. I grew up in WV and was educated early on that you do not go into the woods during deer season. Way too many folks mixing brewskis and high power rifles. Responsible is as responsible does.

One year, a boyfriend and I geared up for a biking & camping weekend, drove north into Wisconsin, stopped at a gas station and noticed a grandma-aged woman in full orange gear pumping her gas so we asked her about it. Today’s the first day of hunting season, she said, so even though she was only running errands in town she was taking no chances. We literally gassed up and then turned around to go back home to Chicago!

This was the “classic” story in my mind. In the end, the conclusion was it was her fault because she wore white mittens during deer season. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

There was an unusually dark comic book story in the '70s where the Legion of Super Heroes accidentally reanimates a long-dead soldier who then mindlessly resumes his former mission, laying waste to Future Metropolis using weapons nobody else can see

It was creepy enough to stick in my mind all these years waiting for somebody to bring up ghost guns

Yet more “responsible gun owners.” Shit.

Why the fuck is the 15-y.o. charged with manslaughter? It should be the adult the gun belonged to, not some stupid kid.

Because this country has a strange obsession with trying juveniles as adults so as to appear to be “tough on crime”.
