Toddler shoots, kills woman in Walmart

I wouldn’t leave my kid alone with them long enough to find out.

Heads of government have nuclear footballs. Sounds like sports equipment to me.

Because the criminal justice system systematically abuses people of color, to the point that police can outright murder young black men without fear of repercussions, and it’s overdue that we focus on this problem.

That’s amazingly obtuse. The obvious reason there was a focus on one particular race is because they needed that attention. “Black lives matter” came about in the face of people acting like they don’t.

That wasn’t the case for “all lives matter”, which was mostly brought up as a way not to mention which part of all lives mattering was actually at stake. The objections were not about saying some lives don’t matter, but about that attempted gloss. Really explicitly so, as noted in the very article you linked.

Need I point out the lack of evidence for a murder charge? Michael Brown DID commit a crime. From Wikipedia (whom I presume is a relatively unbiased source):
Shortly before the shooting, Brown robbed a nearby convenience store, stole several cigarillos, and shoved the store clerk.
Who knows his frame of mind. Maybe, just maybe, he DID attack the police officer. Maybe, just maybe, it was NOT murder. I know, guilty until proven innocent in the court of public opinion.

Just wondering, do the black lives matter who ran the stores who were looted and destroyed? How does that help anybody?

Reverse racism is STILL racism in my book.

It just bothers me that when a white person kills a black person, it is automatically racism and a hate crime. When a black person kills a white person, it is no big deal.

So, he deserved summary execution?

So, if a man attacks a cop and gets shot, that is a summary execution??? The honest truth is that we DO NOT KNOW what the truth is. Michael Brown DID just commit a crime. Was it an execution? Was he attacking the officer so the shooting was justified? You ASSUME that it was a summary execution. The autopsy proved that he was NOT shot in the back. There was not a consensus in the testimony of the witnesses. As a father of three black children, I assure you that if it WAS a racially motivated murder, that I would want the officer in jail. However, if it was a case of a guy being shot while trying to attack a policeman to get his gun, no pity.

So, were you there? Do you have any access to evidence that the rest of us have not seen?

Ferguson prosecutor says he knew some witnesses were ‘clearly not telling the truth.’ They testified anyway.

On Monday, the Smoking Gun published a story revealing the identity and troubled history of “Witness 40,” a woman whose elaborate story of witnessing Brown’s death was allegedly taken from newspaper accounts. The woman, who told investigators that she is racist, bi-polar and has raised money for Wilson, approached prosecutors five weeks after the Aug. 9 shooting. In a journal entry that she showed the grand jury, the woman said she had driven through Ferguson at the time of the shooting “so I stop calling Blacks N—— and Start calling them People.”

Another witness, according to The Washington Post, described Brown on his hands knees pleading for his life. “What you are saying you saw isn’t forensically possible based on the evidence,” a prosecutor said. That witness, The Post noted, later asked to leave.

I suppose an abrupt topic change is sort of like acknowledging the point you were making is mistaken, you know, if you’re an ass.

And now you’ve gotten so obtuse you’re a full 180° from reality. When black people kill white people it usually gets treated as a crime. The whole problem was that white people killing black people wasn’t being treated as anything worth even investigating. Anyone who spent all of five seconds to figure out what the protests were about, instead of caricaturing them as nothing but looting, could and probably did tell you that.

Innocent until proven guilty is the foundation of a good legal system, but it doesn’t work at all unless someone actually attempts the proof. And in your mouth it seems it’s become nothing but hypocritical mush, seeing as how you don’t seem to have any trouble speculating about Brown’s guilt without a trial.
