I like the idea of a DIY show. I wonder about the timing of the greenlighting. Why else now?

According to a magazine* I read recently, it’s because of the success of the Great British Baking Show. Civility and gentle humor in competitions is something new and trendy.
*Cosmo? Elle? Glamour? one of these. They’re all in the bathroom as reading material. The free magazine people think our A/V production company is a beauty shop due to a data processing error in the name. We also get magazines extolling the virtues of plastic surgery, but those get recycled before reading.
