Ella Emhoff is famous for being Harris’ stepdaughter, but less known is known her activism and how she uses her art to help Black trans people.
Like her dad, she is demonstrating that it is not that difficult for white folks to not be assholes. That scares the piss out of Flatulent Fuehrer fans.

Not that it matters, but I’ve always loved the name Ella. It was my maternal grandmother’s middle name. Children weren’t in the cards for me, but if I’d ever had a daughter, I would have named her Ella.

Dora “Dörchen” Richter isn’t a household name to most people, including those in the trans community. Which is a shame, because she’s one of the most historically significant trans women out there. And we just discovered that she survived Nazi Germany.

Chicago celebrates Pulaski Day every year – no school, city offices are closed, but federal offices are open – so stories about this pop up every year. How cool if we could figure it out definitively, but of course even DNA wouldn’t necessarily prove if they were intersex.
