I keep all kinds of personal details out of posts because, while I would tell people here anything, I don’t want to tell the whole Internet. (And if you go back to really old posts that may not exist anymore, I used to say anything – and I mean old old posts that may not exist before the current round of posts that may not exist any more.)
Like when I talked about two years of way too many police encounters. What I really wanted to do was transcribe those encounters word for word, because I’ve learned a lot from them, but I didn’t want that posted to the Internet at large and I went with a summary description instead.
Two weeks ago I finally realized, you know, if you post in the lounge, isn’t that restricted and protected? And doesn’t that mean I’m free to say more? (It takes me a while, but if you hit me over the head enough times eventually I’ll make the connection.)
So, I never really took advantage of it, but I’m missing it anyway.
