Just curious what most people here would charge as their hourly rate for getting out of a helicopter to stand on a piece of wire while repairing it?
It’s okay. All Puerto Rico has to do when the job is finished is claim that the company did a job “that’s not good”, or “a job that was way late”. Then they can deduct from the $300m contract. Right?
Well, if Whitefish bid $400/hr, then I guess I bid $399.
I guess I forgot sarcasm tag

My understanding of the hurricane work is that it’s greatly prized by utility workers because it’s VERY well paying, ain’t nobody doing all that work for nothin’. Those guys in Florida & Texas are making enormous amounts of overtime & they love it.
ok…300 million divide by 1605.04 per day, divide by 365 is…512 years…wait…we need that stuff…um…wire?..yeah…electricity runs through wire because internet is tubes, right got it. maybe half the budget in wire…should be more than enough…how many houses? 3.5 million people??? uggggggh can they all share a electricity?
Apparently the Whitefish contract is about to be - or has just been - cancelled.
Which is great. But … they still somehow managed to get the contract awarded to them initially.
Whoever ok’d that contact was on crack. I’ve seen shitty/shifty contract writing before but this one was one for the books.
