You guys are still in denial.

Voter suppression was nothing compared to voter ‘Am I going to bother to go out to vote for Hillary? No.’

Edit: Yes, I’m very sure it happened in places, but that does not win you so many battleground states because they were not that organized.

All I ever hear from them is empty platitudes. When they say they want their country back they can’t even explain what it is they want back.

It’s yearning for an ideal that doesn’t exist.

I’m not a bricklayer, unfortunately. Maybe we can persuade the Donald to do so at his own expense - we’re talking about something longer than the Great Wall of China.

(Edit: Be interesting to see how they handle Beebe, QC/VT. Probably raze the library - the border runs right through the middle of it.)

I dunno, maybe NATO invades, installs new system of government? Something along those lines.
Does this count as an emergency under the treaty?

I can imagine white people with that lackadaisical attitude, but minorities whose lives would be directly, negatively impacted by a Trump victory? I’d like to see some actual data on who didn’t vote and why, but they’d better get it put together quick, before the Trumpocracy begins.

It’s a country where a white man can enjoy a privilege of unspoken advantage and where a guy who only has a high school diploma can have a good job and take care of his family for life.

I’m of the opinion that both of those are gone forever - the first was not a good thing at all and the second is just wiped out by globalization.

You guys look down on them, and hell, I look down on them, but they just kicked your ass, and did you give them any decent alternative? You did not. The Democrats have also been kicking their ass since Bill’s term and Hillary’s message has been ‘More of the same!’ I’d be quite happy with third Obama term, given the alternatives, but I’m a skilled tech worker, which is a privileged position.

Forget about the Supreme Court. When the position of the designated American leftist becomes vacant, then things get interesting.

There are countless decent alternatives. The mistake is in insisting that such an alternative needs to be a candidate of the democrat or republican parties. To say that that limits your options is a colossal understatement.

None. You need help.

[Edit: apologies, typing on the tube, really too brief!]

There is a huge issue here; it undermines so many aspects of all our intertwined lives. It is massively concerning, but it is real.

It’s hard to see how any educated person could possibly vote for Trump. So just reelilng now. Maybe there’s another way. Time to get a bit Bob Geldof and Hungry Africa about it.

This has been the bugaboo since the beginning. The key to the election has always been getting people to turn out for Hillary like they did for Obama.

But 30% of Latinos who bothered to turn out voted for Trump, giving him the victory, when you guys just assumed they’d all vote for Hillary. Young voters didn’t turn out much at all, only 54% Hillary.

If you’re an immigrant here on a visa, yes you are directly negatively impacted. But how about if you’re a poor minority US Citizen in Pennsylvania? Did Hillary really offer you anything to get you out to vote? You know she’s in bed with the same people who helped outsource all your jobs to China. Figuratively with her lucrative donors and literally with her husband.

So, now that the NeoCon took over the government and willing to turn it into a slave state for their investors to run amok in;

WHO’S UP FOR SOME GOOD OL’ FASION RIOT?

What is “White America” even? I´d bet the majority of boingboing readers are white americans and i doubt any of them removed anyone from the polls. I.m.o. you should aim your rethoric more along ideological and class lines and less along racial ones.

What Shuck said was simply that it weren´t just white women who voted for the psychopath that is now your president and that is surely true. Men and women of all skin colors are weak and stupid and eager to be told what to do by the baboon with the shiniest red ass and the least restraint.

Yes, I’m talking to the Democratic Party members who are in denial here. There were a dozen better alternatives to Hillary, and most of them could have won.

Oh you never know, they might drive him further to the right.

My tiny hope on this hideous morning is that the nutters in Congress might rebel against Trump’s tax and spend proposals that were going to fix all the country’s problems. But then I think that’all probably just mean Trump will adopt Paul Ryan’s policies cribbed from Ayn Rand.
