I think the party that is in serious long-term trouble is the GOP. They had a tiger by the tail, now they’re no longer holding the tail.

I don´t think he will stand through his first year, let alone a whole term without being impeached. We may see a constitutional crisis in the first 100 days, maybe a coup d etat by the military and the CIA (who hate Trump).[/quote]
He won’t be impeached, and there won’t be a coup d’etat. He might step down at some point, but we might or might not be allowed to know why. The interesting question is what happens if he gets his wacko ideas implemented…and what happens if he doesn’t.
Well yes, my comment on when to buy in the market is kind of predicated on the survival of western civilization (which may be a bit of unsupported faith on my part).
Heck, I live in CA, and it may not be a bad idea to take any extra cash, head down to the local dispensary, and purchase a metric fuck-ton of edibles…
white america has systematically removed blacks and hispanics from the polls. long polling lines in minority neighborhoods? check. war on drugs, and majority minority felons who can’t vote? check. not to mention jerry mandering, and everything else.
don’t stoke racial divides by leaving this at the doorstep of the very ones marginalized.
white america needs to look to itself to see what it wrought.
I admit I do look forward to seeing the GOP go nuclear when Trump just does whatever the hell he wants.
But if Democrats don’t learn anything from this they’re even more hopeless than I thought. It’d be everything Democrats accuse the Republicans of being, deliberately stupid and ignorant.
As a European, allow me to congratulate the people of the United States on their big middle finger not only toward the rest of the world, but also toward your and our future generations.
His agenda: build a wall with Mexico (invoice them); overturn Obamacare and the constitutional right to gay marriage; ban Muslim travel to the U.S. until we know “what’s going on”; jail Hillary; stop and frisk blacks; strip first amendment protections from the press; prevent the continued enrichment of (((global finance))); get unpredictable with nuclear weapons; and grab some pussy.
All of this, is nothing compared to what president elect Donald J. Trump, the United States Senate and Congress combined, now 100% Republican, will do with the most urgent problem humanity has ever faced—nothing. You, America, have just gone full climate denial. Never go full climate denial.
And I for one welcome our obnoxious wall building overlords. As a loyal white male I can be relied on to ensure high television ratings for reality programs of the future.
Fuck’s sake, America. What’d you do? And anyone thinking about jumping ship can fucking well stay put and deal with your mess. The last thing we all need is an exodus of reasonable people out of the States, your nation’s collective sanity is barely holding together as it is.
Don’t fool yourself:
Putin continues shenanigans in the Baltic states.
Rather than engage Putin, Trump continues rhetoric about America’s allies needing to get tough, look after themselves. US troops withdrawn from Europe.
Trump hailed for reducing military spending. NATO dissolves.
Putin gives up the false-flag stuff, moves to outright expansionism.
A great big fucking war and we’re all invited.
Not to mention:
We should be focused on clean and beautiful air-not expensive and business closing GLOBAL WARMING-a total hoax! - Donald Trump
We needed to be aggressively closing coal plants a decade ago. Now there’s an abject idiot in office and well paid lobbyists for the coal and oil industries will run intellectual rings around him. Expect nothing significant to be done about carbon emissions until the methane hydrates are bubbling up from the ocean floor and it’s already way too fucking late.
I’m not even sure you’re right about how the economics of the situation will play out, but even if you are we’re all still in a profoundly bad place right now.
What will be interesting to watch at least, is how he will actually govern. The man has changed every position at least 5 times in his life. How much influence will Pence have? On one hand, I think that he will gladly delegate the tedious day-to-day governing. On the other hand, his temper might not permit that. We’ll see.
Yeah, wasn’t there a statistic showing that far fewer people voted this election than did the last election? In fact, this election had the lowest turnout since 2000!
To sum it all up: We´re fucked.
All of us.
I´m scared so sick that I can´t even vomit.
Stay save fellow happy mutants, I have to go to my job in a call center of a bank where probably is allready pandemonium.
