I don’t believe there is any mechanism in the parliamentary countries for an outsider with no experience, who disturbs and repels all the professional politicians, to take over an entire mainstream political party

Sign up a bunch of people, blackmail or bribe a few more and wait for a leadership convention. Done. Easy as that.

And once you’re there, the other MP’s have to like you.

Not until after you’ve taken over the party, do you need to win a seat and you can pretty much handpick your riding. And the others don’t have to like you, just back you. See bribery and blackmail.
