There are a bunch of these videos, and Trump keeps forcing them to make new ones by adding more material for them… you’d think he’d have learned by now.

If you are like me and don’t believe a word this asshat says, here’s some real numbers on a website I feel like I can trust.

As anyone who has studied basic math knows, exponential curves start like this and then magically go down again. /s

I just happened upon a BBC piece that contained the perfect phrase for the occasion:

“After Trump has spoken, Mike Pence, his loyal deputy, usually delivers a paean of praise to the president in that Pyongyang-on-the-Potomac style he has perfected over the past three years.”

It’s unfortunate that the medical community really doesn’t need more work right now; because “Pyongyang-on-the-Potomac” is a fairly serious burn.

His namesake institute is in the news:

Conservatives close to Trump and numerous administration officials have been circulating an article by Richard A. Epstein of the Hoover Institution, titled “Coronavirus Perspective,” that plays down the extent of the spread and the threat.

But isn’t it just that he’s stupid?

Or maybe he’s deluded, but why would he lie?

I know for fifty years Americans have thought the worst of their presidents (and maybe before that), but sometimes it seems like dislike controls things, not concrete thought.

It’s fine to dislike him, I do, but do it for real reasons, not because he’s from the other part.

When one makes an easily verifiably false claim, it is still a lie whether the speaker had deluded themselves into believing it or not. And saying that the the U.S. is a few weeks from the end of the pandemic is a lie about something that it is literally his job to know is completely wrong and will lead to thousands of preventable deaths, which is a pretty good reason to dislike a person in my book

Run toward the light, Trumpy!

And not just that. Just like with “Enemy of the People”, Trump has no idea what the historical resonance of “Light at the End of the Tunnel” is-- America’s progress in winning the Vietnam War. Westmoreland used that unfortunate phrase right before North Vietnam launched the Tet Offensive.

Eventually it will run out of people.

Trump’s nonsense aside, it is worth noting that the spread of a disease cannot be exponential except possibly at the beginning. (As mentioned, you run out of people.) The next simplest model is the SIR model which predicts an approximately exponential growth in infections, which after some time plateaus and then decays.

Would someone PLEASE just superglue his mouth and assholes completely shut so his unending biblical levels of bullshit have nowhere else to go but burst his brain?

I am beyond fucking sick of hearing this lying tangerine monkey ballsack’s neverending spew of lethal imagination every goddamn day

Yeah so social distancing is intended to limit the size of the available pool of people, bringing the plateau along sooner,
