Trump’s VP hopeful proudly describes killing a puppy

This woman is a walking fucking vault-dweller subplot from Fallout.

Putting down a 25 year old horse would be akin to euthanizing a 17 year old dog, not a 14 month old dog. Those are old horses.

If she can kill her pets like that, then imagine what she can do to the people Republicans have been dehumanising for years.

Honestly, I’m getting serial killer vibes from this story.

And that’s the point of her writing this story (if it’s even true)… to show that she has a cruel streak and won’t balk at hurting those she considers lesser than herself.

I wonder who wrote that for her. The way she described the killing initially, the pleasure she clearly took in doing it, and her subsequent defenses of it makes it hard for me to believe she’d try to change her argument to say she’s being mischaracterized now.

I feel we should remember that Republicans were all horrified after January 6 – until the media machine got busy, and after a couple weeks, they were all shrugging it off as no big deal, it was all BLM anyway, why are we keeping these brave hostages, let’s have more insurrections!

IOW, I won’t be entirely surprised if the GOP doesn’t end up on Noem’s side, proudly supporting animal abuse and torture, just to own the libs.

Maybe some were, but I’m guessing a good number were performing outrage and felt some anger about it, while others were just hiding their glee. The media narrative just gave them cover. Some are still outraged at Jan. 6th, but have been marginalized by their own party.

People treat their pets better than they do people.

A couple of bloody handed puppy killing memes of her will do the trick.

This times 1000. She is appealing to the GOP base which is at least 50% comprised of a coalition of rapists, pedophiles, and Nazis.

I try not to over respond to provocations from Media Provocation Specialists that occupy various political grift niches, but this one seems like the mask slipped a little.

It’s not that she shot a puppy, or that she pretends she shot a puppy. It’s that she failed to intuit that a story about shooting her kid’s pet wouldn’t immediately be abhorrent to most people. This feels like someone who learned human morality from a For Dummies book. Really can’t intuit the lines most people feel instinctively. Sociopath stuff.

The bragging is the lesser of the problems here.

It was tortured bit of copywriting, but I think they were trying to make it super clear that This Actually Happened She Said As Much in these post-factual times.

That looks like a smarmy have-it-both-ways rather than a strict doubling down: she suddenly pulls out an unrelated large animal euthanasia case with a timescale that suggests a pretty uncontroversial decision; but also promises “real, honest, and politically INcorrect” like those terrible people in the media are too snowflake for.

Clearly realizes that “I hated that dog” and executing a goat you failed to get fixed for smelling bad makes you sound like a total psycho; so now “we love animals” and those are just “tough decisions” in the same vein as euthanizing elderly animals(which is obviously something only real 'Muricans close to the soil understand; because Agenda 21 banned pets in urban and suburban areas; of course).

The whole ‘on a farm’ framing also seems disingenuous when agriculture is supposed to be a body of subject matter expertise; not just a piece of moral high ground. Someone who doesn’t have to euthanize goats because they have never dealt with goats is just taking pot shots if their objection is purely that you should never euthanize goats; but expecting someone who does have goats to adhere to AVMA or HSA procedures if they have a legitimate need to do so is just expecting basic responsibility and not winging it when conducting important projects; not something you can dismiss as just sneering city slicker elitism.

Yea, I saw someone also making that argument and my first thought was “this isn’t the 1800’s, fuck off”.
