Yeah, given his coyness, he’s doing his usual PR bullshit that he’s done over and over whenever he feels the need for attention, and/or to distract from something else. (This is Trump at his most “clever.”) Usually his inevitable announcement is a total anticlimax, so maybe he’s actually going to announce he’s pardoning someone obscure, knowing that the fevered speculation about who he’s going to pardon will garner more news attention than the announcement itself.
