Yup. Every conversation I’ve had with neighbors whose main media consumption is Fox News, they’ll bring up some contentious topic in an incendiary way, but when I try to actually talk about it with them they’ve got nothing. They can repeat a few talking points, but when I try to dig into the issue, in a totally inquisitive way, they get really awkward.
For them, it seems like either “agree with me” or “argue violently with me” are the only comfortable options.

We foolishly watched it in December, and loathed every miserable nanosecond. Even the Riff Traxx guys couldn’t help us. I wanted to tear my hair and set things afire it was so fucking wretched.
