What it says about it being a shame basically boils down to a section “It’s a shame that Trump is such an asshat that the military feel it’s necessary to distance themselves from their own Commander in Chief” and then:

On Wednesday, the White House announced that this weekend Vice President Mike Pence “will deliver remarks to sailors on the Trump Administration’s historic foreign policy achievements at Naval Air Station Lemoore,” and then to the 10th Mountain Division, in Fort Drum, New York.
Couldn’t pick a more obscure NAS than Lemoore. I’m sure it’s because it’s located in the most conservative part of CA.
