As a middle-aged white guy, I think we’re lucky that what historical minority groups are generally and rightfully advocating for is merely equality, and not retribution.

There is definitely a case to be made that the US has too many ways to fall into unshielded machinery and get a pitiless grinding; but if you’ve read that as an anti-white conspiracy, or believe that it would actually be ameliorated by making kicking down incrementally easier, you’ve failed in your interpretation and your attempts at solution are not going to go well.

I’m baffled by those who deny racism exists*, but there’s a special level of reality denial involved with those white people who think they’re an oppressed class. And I suppose this isn’t even new, really (even if the dynamics are different) - before the Civil War there were white people talking about how horrible and degrading slavery was, for them.
*Although they’re usually engaging in it while denying it, so the denial comes across as just a wee bit disingenuous, really.
When I think about all the ways Trump supporters are divorced from reality, all the lies and nonsensical narratives they have to accept (or at least pretend to accept), the idea that the divide can be bridged just seems impossible. All those op eds about how the left need to “reach out” to MAGAts all the more absurd.

To defeat fascists, first of all is important to going to vote parties that aren’t allied with fascists. If you are a liberal politician and are thinking that fascist are better than socialist or communists, you’re wrong.
Fascist are a vocal minority willing to use the force to scare and even killing people against them. If you’re a dwarf king and find that fascist are marching to your capital the right thing to do is to send a lot of Carabinieri and arrest them, not receiving their leaders.
If you didn’t follow these ad vices and now you have a fascist dictatorship, the only think to do is start fighting them, with the help of USA,UK,France and Soviet Union and hope for the best.

Hmm, not quite “pretending,” but that smelly, doddering old fascist still knows where the boundary is. He doesn’t quite say outright something like, “White people are being overrun by dark inferior subhumans!”
I mean, everyone knows that’s what he means with this “Replacement Theory” crap, but even Tromp knows that blunt, blatant racism needs to be kept backstage. I hope he slips up and lets it out onstage soon, so more people can see it for the Nazi-like xenophobic hatred that it is. Maybe he never will, because it’s mostly all tactical, and all he cares about is himself, and power.
