Trump was briefed on coronavirus 12+ times in Jan-Feb, kept downplaying it

Unsurprising but still infuriating.

He downplayed the threat until Tucker Carlson told him to take it seriously. Now Carlson is wanting to open things back up again so Drumpf will be pushing harder in that direction now.

It doesn’t matter how bad it gets or how many people die, his supporters will always act like the whole thing was a hoax for the sole purpose of making Trump look bad. Between the Holocaust, climate change and mass shootings, they’ve already had lots of practice at denialism.

On BoingBoing, it is currently in vogue to use passive-aggressive honorifics when referring to Trump and.his cohort. For example:

“Impeached Pussy-Grabbing Advocate and Chronic Liar Trump downplayed the threat until Presumed Epidemiologist and Acting President Tucker Carlson told him to take it seriously. Now Carlson is wanting to open things back up again…”

Worst. President. Ever.

Does the paywall article cite an actual source?

In early March I told my local Trumper that Trump was doing a horrible job with the virus response, and he replied “How can you say that? He’s meeting with experts several times a day!”

If you dismiss what the experts say because you don’t like it, then what’s the point of even meeting with experts?

For Trump, it’s the experts who meet him.

Experts dispensing useful information come and go while Dolt 45 just sits there like a blob as they pass by and only catches the words he likes. He then spews them as a word salad that wastes everyone’s time and further tears the US and the rest of the world apart.
As Alfred Pennyworth said, “…some men aren’t looking for anything logical, like money. They can’t be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.” Of course, the aforementioned blob wants money because he knows deep in his soul that he’s been an abject failure in that department when compared to Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Jeff Bezos and others that actually made their fortunes themselves.
