Please don’t go soft on Trump like so many others (I know you’re not, I’m just oversensitive to it). This is not “insinuating.” From the list of tweets:
“In his own words, @BarackObama “was born in Kenya, and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii.” This statement was made, in writing, in the 1990’s. Why does the press protect him? Is this another Watergate?”
“With @BarackObama listing himself as “Born in Kenya” in 1999http://bit.ly/JaHQW0 HI laws allowed him to produce a fake certificate. #SCAM”
Me too. Although I can imagine Craig Ferguson not only calling Trump out but cussing a blue streak at him while he did it. (Is it immature of me to enjoy the idea? Oh well.) I miss both of them.
The triple exclamation mark in the headline of the press release lets you know just how much serious consideration went into the group’s decision to endorse.
In case there was any doubt as to what happened, here’s the actual homepage of Breitbart, Trump’s campaign manager, crowing about how they tricked the networks with fake birther news and lies. Oh, and a picture of Harambe, for their daily wink-wink-nudge-nudge at the white supremacists reading their site to say “don’t worry, we still hate the guy running the country for his skin color, too.”
As someone who was a Ferguson fan back when he was still “Bing Hitler” I sometimes wonder if he regrets stepping down before this debacle started or if he’s glad. With Craig I could see it going either way.
I got the impression from an interview or two that he was tired of talk show hosting and wanted to move on to new projects. Which is great, and I hope he’s happy doing whatever he’s doing. But I do wonder what his take would be on all this, if he was still hosting.
When Trump’s campaign started taking off, I started feeling like America was going crazy. That now fails to cover how completely and utterly insane everything is. Now I alternate between feeling like I must be crazy and all perceived reality is just a horrific hallucination, and feeling like I woke up in an alternate dimension, like where the Nazis won the second world war or something.
Fallon lost all credibility to me. All. Go back to playing twister and shit. Bring a guy running for president on you gotta ask him some real questions. Let’s see him on Colbert.
I remember reading Heinlein’s “future history”, especially the collection The Past Through Tomorrow and feeling like the silly season which is part of that history was an actual prediction. May the universe be rent, but i didn’t want to be right.
I was was aghast that W could raise enough votes to look competitive (especially after his first term), but here nearly half of America is not content with merely an awful and thoughtless choice, seeming to gravitate toward the worst possible person for the job.
