Well, it’s more the “right” of corporate persons to shield actual persons from scrutiny.
But, yeah, I’m equally cynical. I expect nothing from the most partisan supreme court we’ve had for a century. They will issue another Bush v. Gore-style, “this only applies this once” ruling in favor of Trump. Why wouldn’t they? They are Republicans and a Republican needs a favorable ruling. It just makes sense.
They “can’t” do that, because to pass the buck means that Trump loses the case.
The GOP – as it has numerous times before – would respond to that with “That’s old news”. It’s in their forever playbook.
