Although I suspect the aim of this staged protest isn’t to try to get the USA to correct our behavior, I can’t help but think that statement isn’t really wrong. (Something about pots and kettles?)

… and I am left wondering how many countries have their own version of these exact same warning for the USA?

The UK is still only advising against non-essential travel.
I had that moment of “do you mean to Russia or the US?”
They have a rather vague warning for LGBT people travelling to the US, without specifying anything useful.
