According to the BBC, Uber’s president Jeff Jones is departing. Since he never seemed to be the center of attention, that isn’t terribly funny in itself. However:
Privately, however, the company has been shocked by his sudden departure, with other executives left disappointed at what they saw as a lack of professional courtesy in informing them of his plans.
A company built on systematic exploitation of casual labor and a certain…militant courtesy deficiency… is ‘left disappointed’ because one of its suits didn’t give them due notice? If this were any more adorable it’d have giant eyes and fuzzy little ears that it wants scratched.
Pity it probably won’t do them any real harm; but entertaining anyway.
