Sure, it might be a way to pull out and make sense of our own thoughts. I was more speaking to using tarot as a tool for divination like she is doing for Trump and Biden here. The artwork can also be pretty great, I’m not really anti-tarot, just anti-grifter.

That, and runes, both of which I use on a semi-regular basis. (I don’t use the standard rider-waite deck or guidebook, nor do I use a ‘standard’ reading method, though.)
The rider-waite guidebook I have has the 5 of cups as “loss, leaving, and sorrow”- How every appropriate.
:: nods enthusiastically :: Depending on how one reads it, it can also be a confirmation of what you were thinking of doing (self-reinforcement) or occasionally a Sign To Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself. 
And a lot of it does depend on one’s mindset during the reading. (if you are not in a good mental state, you generally won’t get good results from any reading, regardless of who’s doing it.)
