…
Well, no, it IS what she predicted, that’s her job. (OK, I guess it was the cards that did the predicting, fair enough.)
So Fox news is using “the occult” now? If this was on MSNBC charges of Satanism would be screaming out of Laura Ingraham like fireworks.
“I mean, it’s not like I’m an astrologer!”
She goes on to pull the 9 of coins for Biden and predicts lots of money in his future. Time to donate to the Biden campaign! Tarot is a bunch of nonsense, but I think we should all work to make both of her predictions come true.
We’ve gone full Network, haven’t we?
From what I remember back in my Tarot days, you could interpret a lot of different meanings from the cards, and while this was just one card, usually you would use a pattern that would denote past, present, and future, goals and influences, how you see yourself vs how others see you. And whether it was upside down or not could change the meaning. So the fact she tried to recover was pretty typical of any reader trying to tailor a reading to make it not a bad thing.

That is, in fact, one of the most common interpretations of that card, not exactly an “alternative”. It’s the one that shows up in most of the little tarot books they package with new decks.
In the Hermetic tarot, it represents the 5th sphere on the tree of life, Gevurah, which has to do with severity, discipline and choice, viewed through Water (cups), which deals with understanding on an emotional or intuitive level. There’s more stuff about the mix of Fire and Water elements, and contextual stuff about it’s relationships to the connected spheres, if anyone’s interested in the modern use of Victorian interpretations of medieval musings on Jewish mysticism.
Those are wonderful! I have these two:
The rot started decades ago.
So the ‘cards’ bode ill for the one idiot who could lose money owning casinos? Am I the only one who finds that extremely funny and a little poetic?
Jung figured tarot and similar random methods of divination allow us to tap into the unconscious mind. They can be fascinating head exercises.
