What if Barron trump was enlisted to help put his family in jail?

It takes two to fill the raincoat convincingly.

Actually, this is about as shit as it gets, but if the Bad Guys do it, why can’t the Good Guys?
Quick response: because this isn’t bloody Kingsman.

I’m gonna take a stab at this one…do you suppose underage violence overlaps on the Venn diagram with the rise in scooter “theft and violence” in major cities like London?

That could be a really good starter for a illustrated novel. The stories / plot lines are limitless…

Yup.
More interestingly, the overlap between the lack of education and recreational facilities and the rise in gang related violence is remarkably like a fuzzy-edged circle…

No mention of Kim?

Use of children as spies has long tradition. No need to bring modern fiction into it.

Parliament weren’t particularly happy about it either:

but not surprisingly for a government led by Theresa “Never met a surveillance law she didn’t like” May, the government thought it’s all fine.

“We didn’t use them every day!”
Oh, OK. Only in the most dangerous and terrifying cases. Cool.

With those children, he thought, that wretched woman must lead a life of terror. Another year, two years, and they would be watching her night and day for symptoms of unorthodoxy. Nearly all children nowadays were horrible. What was worst of all was that by means of such organizations as the Spies they were systematically turned into ungovernable little savages, and yet this produced in them no tendency whatever to rebel against the discipline of the Party. On the contrary, they adored the Party and everything connected with it.

The Party seeks to maintain power by severing private loyalties, replacing them with loyalty to the party. With children, the success of the Party’s plan is furthered in that the children serve as extra surveillance forces for the Party.

Not to Godwin, but it’s worth pointing out the Nazis did this on a massive scale after taking power.

It seems weird that you’d make the Varys comparison to Wallace, rather than to his, I assume, boss, whose head is visually identical to a right-wing egg

Sounds like a ripoff of Sherlock Holmes’ Baker Street irregulars.

the Home Office is pushing to raise the current amount of time that folks under the age of 18 can work as an undercover informant from one month to four.

It’s even creepier than that - they are trying to raise the term from one month to four without needing reauthorization. They can already use them for multiple months, they just want to be less accountable. So SO creepy.

I was thinking something similar, only from The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. Restrictions on child labor are something only a peacetime society can indulge in.

I guess this may be one of my last chances to use this…

I thought Big Sisters were supposed to be nice.

“Big Sisters” immediately made me think of this

All little sisters like to try on big sister’s clothes
> Big sister’s clothes

(Elvis Costello - from what was an album without a single bum track on it. One of my favourites.)

Truly evil, so lets all forget about the origins of the Boy Scouts

Hey, if an old soldier wants to get a hundred boys in a field and make them wear shorts that’s his own business!
