The visuals for that movie were its saving grace, even the ones that completely deviated from the source material. Neat stuff.
Iām a fan of David Lynch and his movies - but this was a stinker. (I suspect that Jodorowsky would have made a much much more interesting movie.) The pacing was terrible, the lighting revealed too much and hid too little. The hairstyles were stuck in the 80ās along with Sting and they tried to do too much in too little time. Like we saw with the Scifi TV version, many more hours than 2 is needed to tell this story. All that and interfering producers, this movie never had a chance.
