Isn’t the story that a service provider did not have capacity to support a short term increase in demand that was likely foreseeable.

And yet… somehow… life goes on.

I haven’t listened to it. Has anyone anybody got opinions?

“Running short of supply on the first release date” is a pretty old marketing trick to generate buzz, from movies, to toy lines, to video games…It’s hard not to smell the same thing at play here, even if it just-so-conveniently lines up with a cost effective way to avoid having stand-by juice for occasional outsized bursts of activity.

Women are regularly diminished, especially the art they make…

Lots of women put out art on Spotify, why would this one cause outages? Her fanbase is pretty well measured and the release date was known in advance.

I think they wanted opinions on the album

Except here, the songs she wrote were turned into commodities. But hey… I guess a 15 year old is supposed to know better…

Her first 6 albums were sold off for a profit, off a deal she made as a teenager. But women are supposed to know better.

Or we are not “real” in the same way men are… I’m not Swift’s audience, but they are not consider as important as those who who are young, white men, who love rock.

It is fortunate that she held the song rights and could recreate the masters, rather than being forced to re-enter label slavery to gain control of them.
