…
“Everyone behind me applauded,” she told police in a phone call.
Literally “Things that never happened.”
Came to say: I do not think they were applauding her, though were probably applauding for equally inappropriate reasons.
So am I reading this right? The girl’s skirt was too short so this utah karen took it upon herself to fix it by [checks notes] exposing her vagina and buttocks.
I’d recommend jail time even without the exposure, keep your fucking hands off other people.
And they complain we’re calling them weird.
So - how much time does she get under the plea deal?
The Karen alleged that the girl’s vagina and buttocks were exposed and claimed that she pulled her skirt down to cover them.
This was stupid when it was first reported, and even more stupid now.
Seriously, what did this woman think was going to happen?
threatened to call Child Protective Services on the teenager.
And if the victim had been young enough to be under CPS jurisdiction, she’d be tried for sexual assault of a minor.
The Georgia Satellites said it best: “Don’t hand me no lines and keep your hands to yourself””
OK, I did read it wrong. I’m still appalled.
I’ve seen many people - over many decades - wear clothes that I thought were not appropriate. I have felt embarrassed by it at times, ok, but never once did I think “here is something I need to fix”
Imagine what would have happened in a pre cell phone camera era.
I’m glad today’s youth have the tools my generation didn’t.
(Though because I was relatively privlidged I did once nearly get someone in trouble for being verbally abusive with a yak bak – sadly they were savvy enough to yell “no toys in school” into it to delete the evidence.)
Nothing was exposed. The Karen was charged for being grabby (she made up a story to excuse her behaviour) and the teen maintains she was wearing underwear.

The woman ‘exposed her vagina’??? That takes more than a casual tugging of a skirt! I’m not sure they are using the correct anatomical terminology.
The whole misuse of the word vagina annoys me. And this article could have simple said “privates” or “genitals”, and communicated what they intended. I’m not going to demand people say vulva or clitoris, but they need to saying vagina so much until they figure out where it is.
(Edit: fixed my autocorrect typos)
And even if it rose to the level of something you did need to fix, the appropriate fix is not (unless maybe it’s your child and they’re less than 5 years old or so) to adjust their clothes yourself. The appropriate fix IMO would be a quiet word to the effect of “You’re showing more skin than you probably want to. You may want to adjust your [article of clothing].” in their ear.
Yes, just like telling someone wearing unzipped trousers about their (hopefully speaking) oversight.
