I’ve been looking for a surf-skate board to share with my daughters (that’s just justification, I really want one). It looks like this is in partnership with Carver which was the brand I’ve been eyeing. Maybe a new board in my future.

I only use “gender neutral” boards.

Man, this really hits home. My first “real” board (i.e. not cheapo variflex from big-5) was a Mike McGill "pool’ board like this.
Aaaand… it’s just been re-released as a “retro” board… Nice way to hit a guy in the (greying) short and curlies.

One of my exes had been a pro skateboarder. He told me about visiting a skate park w/his big, then-old school stick. One of the tweens present loudly asked, “Who’s the old man on the dinosaur?”
