“Up for parole” doesn’t necessarily mean “paroled.” Let’s see what happens before we get upset.
When his car was searched, he allegedly had steroids
I remember reading about this case. To me it sounded less like a case of spontaneous road rage than a guy practicing “road rage as a hobby”.
I think the odds are good that he will eventually seriously injure or kill someone, so the parole board might want to take that into consideration and delay his parole as long as possible.
This is exactly the kind of person who needs to be separated from the rest of society. He doesn’t need a tattoo on his forehead to alert others that he has poor impulse control.
Also, it’s obligatory but necessary to note that if he was a PoC it would have been a much longer wait before he had a chance at parole.
Why is the make of car he drove relevant?
Perhaps because the CEO of the manufacturer is also a dangerous arsehole who gets a lot of free passes? I’ll let @beschizza give the definitive answer, of course.
The license plate appears to be blank. Was he driving without plates or has the number been erased from the image?
I think the odds are fairly good that if he returns to his life of highway raging, eventually one of his victims will shoot him in self-defence.
Still, you have to wonder how a man with a long string of convictions for violent crimes can get his sentence reduced by 80%.
